Now that the GOP has the majority in the House, some believe that they can now use that to crack down on immigration. The biggest problem with this is that people are coming into the country just to give birth. This makes the children born on U.S soil citizens and in essence their parents who can live and work here now because of it. This birthright citizenship can be repealled a bit to help with illegal immagration. Link:http://mediamatters.org/video/2014/11/17/ingraham-urges-gop-to-enforce-immigration-laws/201587
This is a bit of a large if not unnessacary step to take. The birthright citizenship is in the 14th amendment which was ratified to make it so that all slaves in the country after the civil war would become citizens on the federal and state level. Trying to repeal it to restrict immagration is not what it was intended for originally. It was meant to give people who had been born in the country to become citizens so that they could exercise the same rights that every one else in the country could.

New Majority in the Senate
As of November fourth, the United States Senate is now in the favor of the Republican party. Republicans now have gained the six plus one seat they needed to have the majority rule in the Senate. The numbers now stand a 52 Republican and 43 Democrat and 2 Independent. This will allow the party to get what they want through a little more easily.
I find this very good because the past situation with the Senate was not very pleasing with some of the people in the country. I myself am enjoying that the Senate and House is now a Majority Republican, which I myself am. Link: http://www.politico.com/2014-election/results/map/senate/
